A homeowner in Lahontan, in the Truckee area, contacted Fusion Heating & Cooling because their furnace was not heating. We diagnosed a failed inducer fan motor as the cause of the no-heat problem.

No-Heat Furnace Diagnosis in Lahontan
The original inducer was discontinued. For this furnace, completing the repair required a new inducer fan motor together with new pressure switches, a new control board, and a new igniter. The scope therefore involved several components rather than a single motor replacement.
Furnace Repair or Replacement?
Because the repair was expensive, we recommended a new furnace and discussed replacement with the homeowner. The customer preferred to repair the existing furnace, so we proceeded with the repairs they chose.
Inducer Motor and Supporting Components Replaced
The completed furnace repair included:
- A new inducer fan motor
- New pressure switches
- A new furnace control board
- A new igniter
After completing these repairs, we restored heat to the Lahontan home. No new furnace was installed on this project.
